Each year 10,000 Americans are diagnosed with a life-threatening blood disease and have no donor among their family who can give them a chance for a cure. The National Marrow Donor Program is there, providing the world's largest, most diverse Registry of potential marrow donors and umbilical cord blood.
All it takes to join the Registry is a cheek swab. Because of the urgent need for African American donors, the cost of the tissue typing needed to add you to the Registry is covered. |
